The Amici of San Pietro Association, founded in 1975 in Civate, comprises a group of volunteers collaborating to preserve the historical complex consisting of the Basilica of San Pietro al Monte and the Oratory of San Benedetto, while also ensuring a hospitable experience for visitors. The founder of the Association was Don Vincenzo Gatti, a member of the Beato Angelico religious community. For more than fifty years, he led the restoration of the abbey complex. He didn't only use his artistic skills but also shared his deep spiritual beliefs, reflecting the Benedictine tradition.
